La presente obra, medinte una estrategia de analisis comparado, analiza de que manera la legitimidad, la eficacia y la estabilidad politica generan respaldo ciudadano y capital social en los diferentes regimenes politicos existentes, a efecto de evaluar, primero, si es que existe un efecto de las condiciones de gobernabilidad en la calidad de la demcoracia y, segundo, si este efecto es plausible y sustentable y a traves de que mecanismo."
