I had really good luck using the rev 1.0 version of this board for a custom build I did 5 years ago. I have two of these rev 1.1's ... one I bought brand new, and the other is refurbished. They are very stable. It has a dual bios (one main, one backup), and you can set it to automatically save a copy of the bios on your hard drive for restoration. (The motherboard's predecessor (an Abit Fatal1ty) ended up with a fried cmos that effectively turned it into a doorstop. That Fatal1ty had been slowly shorting out for years. The first thing to go on it was the onboard audio. Rather than deal with replacing the bios and dealing with whatever was going to pop next, I just decided to get a new board.) You can download software made by Gigabyte called EZTune to automatically overclock your system. It's really easy to use and you can effectively overclock your system without even dealing with your bios. The card slots are spaced logically (unlike my old Aesus board, which had the PCIE x16 right next to the two PCI slots, which meant that if I used a double space graphics card then one of the slots was useless. This one only has an issue with a PCIE x1 being blocked, and a PCIE x1 riser ribbon cable is a lot less of a pain in the tuchas than a PCI). I like these motherboards much more than Abit, Aesus, Intel, Dell, HP or any number of OEMs that I've dealt with over the years. Make sure that you've got a good PSU and after the burn-in period this motherboard should easily last a decade.Read full review
A very durable board....up and running...vintage gamesters rig...with SSD(samsung), Quad chip(Q9550),8 gigs gaming RAM(corsair), mid vid card(730)....plenty fast enough...Very Overclockable...the setup quite good for my backup computer....might even mess with setup of 2 SSD's in raid 0 config...should Blaze then.......Also has great audio on-board, probably configure a 7.1 surround setup or 5.1 with a new 100Amp receiver that's been un-boxed for 3 years....gees

It is running great with a fresh install of windows 10 pro. Using it to run an ARK: Survival Evolved server. Bumped up the ram to 6 gb and replaced the E5200 with my Q9650.

Booted right up the first time. Could not ask for more.

Fairly reliable, feature packed, with good documentation. For it's time it wa a serious player. A PC at the shop went down and this was the most expedient way to bring it back. No reinsallation of any software was necessary. I was happy to find it.
