If you view the specs side by side for this guitar and a Les Paul that costs 2-3X as much, you will see that the basic components are identical. The only difference functional difference that I have found is the pickup selections, which are not any better, just different. This guitar will play and sound as good as a $3K Les Paul. The neck is amazing and the body look and feel is true Gibson LP. The Dirty Finger pickups have great sustain and can sound gritty or very clean. They are very flexible. If you want a LP but do not want to spend thousands of dollars, the 70s Tribute is an excellent choice. The guitar will last you a lifetime.

The Gibson Les Paul Studio 70s tribute is a fantastic instrument. I purchased the instrument because of its price, its construction at the Nashville Gibson plant, and the inclusion of the mini humbuckers. These pickups deliver! The neck is comfortable and accessible. You save a ton of money by not having a high gloss finish or neck and body binding, but this guitar is still aesthetically beautiful. This guitar is a gem in a sea of over priced instruments from Gibson USA, and the fact that it was manufactured before the robot tuners and other shoddy aesthetic choices of recent years is just the icing on the cake.
Fantastic guitar pickups clear and crisp
