I haven't played with these pickups for too long, still building that guitar, but I did try them out for a few days. Best way I can describe how they sound is heavy and full. If you want your guitar to roar, go for these. I have one for a neck and another for the bridge, both Dirty Fingers. Switching between the two actually makes a noticeable difference. I'm using regular Ernie Ball Slinkies for the strings and these are on a BC Rich "Bich" guitar I've had sitting around for a while. Also, the sounds I'm able to make with these are pretty insane. When playing with other instruments, you can really make your guitar stand out if you want it to, but of course you can turn things down a bit to blend it in. Over all, I feel like these pickups have a good wide range anywhere from playing something deep and dark, all the way to light and excited. Also seems to work very well with a lot of effects if you decide to use them. The sound isn't too warm and is pretty clean if you play without any effects. Distorted, they really ROAR, it's awesome. And an unbelievable variety of sounds you can create even when using only one type of effect!Read full review
