I have been playing stringed instruments for years, so I am used to the things that make cheap instruments hard to play and learn on. This guitar came with only one. The neck needed a little adjustment at the truss rod because the neck was slightly bowed. If you aren't familiar with how to do this, most people that have been playing for a while know how. You can find someone or watch a Youtube video on how to do it. It's not difficult. The action at the nut end at the tuners is low enough that it doesn't kill your fingers when playing chords on the first or second frets. It has a good sound with a lot of bass. Basically, it is really good quality for the money. I bought it to take to the park to play on the weekends, so if it gets stolen or damaged I'm not out of much money, and I can keep my more expensive guitars at the house. I recommend this for beginners. It is very much like the Rouge brand starter guitar that I would recommend as well.Read full review

Bought this guitar two years ago, two months in strings started breaking. So I upgraded them. Well it won't stay in tune, the thick 6th string also known as the low e, buzzed when fretted. Took it to my local shop, had to have the nut and saddle replaced. The frets filed down, and a set up done. 150.00 dollars later it finally plays as I thought it would. I know it's a cheaper guitar than other gibsons, but gibson should be ashamed putting its name on this. After paying 99 dollars for the guitar, and 150.00 to fix it, I would have been better off buying a 250 to 300 guitar. Maybe it was just the one I got, but I know Gibson has great quality, but not on this one.

Have to admit I was skeptical, but the guitar is great. Hold a tune quite well. Craftsmanship is good as well. I would recommend this guitar for a beginner or a jam guitar to hand off by the fire.

Not bad at all and I've been playing for many moons. Broke the E-string on a Tom Petty song! For the price and the famous name it is well worth the few dollars. " I'm Happy" Thank You.
