First time buying a Gerber knife so I was a little skeptical. I really like Smith and Wesson knives since I’m a S&W handgun fan. Just wanted to try something new. At first it was different. Instead of having a index finger flipper it has a thumb stud. After I got used to it I liked it a lot better than what I had. Found more knives break with that function over just using a stud on the blade itself. It is so much nicer closing this knife over the traditional pocket knife. It has a safety so you push the safety up towards the blade and that’s what releases the lock and allows you to fold it back up. Very cool feature. Blade is insanely sharp right out the box. Every knife should be its just how well does it hold that edge. So far it’s been awesome and I put it to the test on cardboard and it’s still razor sharp. I like how the blade is thinner. Allows easier sharping but the trade off is how it holds the edge with a thinner blade. Haven’t had it a month yet but real test will be down the line. Serrated teeth are a lot better than the S&W knives I’ve had as well. Overall awesome quality and got it at a good price. Save your money and buy a quality pocket knife and skip the $10 Chinese junk. You can buy a few of those a year (at least) or buy one really nice knife that’ll last over a year. Just my $.02.Read full review

This blade has an assisted open. Which is one of the best features about the blade. The pocket clip is situated in a perfect position so that is in your pocket, but out of your way. I have purchased at least three of these knives. Not because they were defective, but because I had to surrender one to a TSA agent. Surrender another one at a museum. And I lost the other one. So this knife is the one you should buy if you're looking for that perfect pocket knife.

Awesome knife! Had one for years and lost it. Was happy to find a replacement!

Decent value, Chinese steel. Needs to be lubed right from the start for the spring assist to work the quickest. In the $20-25 range, I have bought these again every time I lose one (which is kinda often). I like it because it's a tip-up folder while so many others are tip-down.
