This is not a bad phone at all. It makes crystal clear calls, has very large easily read in the light buttons. But since there is no back lighting, unless you know ten-key by touch, it is almost impossible to dial without an external lighting source. Additionally, there is no display, so except for a last number redial button you're pretty limited on features. But the oddest choice of all is putting the lever to hang up under the ear on the phone itself. This makes it impossible to hang up in any other way but placing it into the cradle. Don't get me wrong, it's a perfectly fine phone. But in 2016 it's a bit too featureless for any real convenience.

Our phones are either cordless or cellular. It's nice to not be tied to a cord. However, if there is a power outage, most cordless phones don't work. I got this corded phone as an emergency backup for those times.
