This is 3rd one we have bought (hubby leaves in the car and they get stolen!). This model is perfect. My hubby uses it for work, but also we use it on road trips on the weekend. Easy to use, great size screen and best of all, it doss not depend on a cell tower! That helps since we live in the boondocks and service is sketchy. If you're looking for a GPS, this is the one!

The features are nice. It will try to direct you in odd area, when it is clear which way is the fastest. (YES, direction options are correct) Even placed beside the smaller GPS it replaced. Love the lane assist. Uses a different traffic network, so it doesn't work in my city. When I drive north 40 miles, that is a great feature.

Fantastic! I love my Garmin 65 LMT. I like it for the accuracy and the voice that calls my attention to upcoming turns. The screen is crisp and clear. The speed limit shows accurately and monitors my speed. If I am going over the limit, it highlights my speed in red. The mount is strong and holds the Garmin Nuvi 65 LMT nice and snug to the windshield. I like the fact that I can get a voice notice that I missed a turn. I am happy that I can get lifetime map updates, because there are always changes in routes across the USA. If you have ever traveled through Dallas, TX of Fort Worth, TX you know how they are always working on changing the exits and intersecting highways. Other areas across the USA are also constantly being changed. The free lifetime updates are wonderful. Most auto makers have a DVD disc that goes in a DVD drive that is read for the maps and directions. On those navigation systems you are constantly buying updates DVD discs and they only come out once every year or two, so you are behind usually when you buy the updated DVD. Garmin maps are available 24/7 anytime you want to check for updates, and they are free. You don't have to be a genius to do the updates and you don't have to take your car in to the dealership to have a technician do an eprom update to manage the new maps. Garmin updates are a breeze.Read full review

Unlike the older Garmins. When you change the city you are searching for an address in. These new Garmins wont limit the search to the state you request. Instead they also search all nearby states. This is insane. Takes several minutes to find an address that's just a few miles away. I plugged in an address. While it was searching I pulled out my old Nuvi 50. Turned it on and let it boot up. I changed the city and input the address. It found the address instantly. (7minutes away from my current location) I was still waiting on the new 65lmt to find it. Sadly it found the location I was looking for. It was the 2nd on the list from 4 different states. This process is insane. Garmin support tells me this is the new process. I'm going to try and return this 65lmt and just stick with my old school Nuvi 50. Since this is Garmins new way of finding addresses I wont be buying another Garmin product.Read full review

I don't know how I ever managed with just a Thomas' Guide. One of my favorite features is its ability to route me around heavy traffic. So far, it's shown me five different ways for the 45 mile route I need for my work. I've found that I use it even for destinations for which I'm sure I know the way. But, it never ceases to amaze me. This will change your life in the car.
