The nüvi 3760, Garmin's GPS is one that strikes the eye. Who sees its 4.2-inch screen and no buttons on the front of the easily confused with a smartphone. With operations from ringtones on your LCD, very sensitive to the touch, GPS is light and thin, without abandoning its main function: it gives voice commands with a low level of errors and fairly clear audio. The 3760 has a clear inconsistency: although the microSD card slot and the display of high brightness and contrast, does not play video or TV tuner. Still, the price of this friend of the driver is quite salty: 1399 actual. The GPS is more akin to a cell edge because of its multitouch capabilities, useful to decrease or increase the scale of the map displayed. The speaker located at the back of the nüvi is high and its sound, well within the limits of an apparatus with a thickness of 0.8 cm. The space inside the nüvi 3760 wins, with a microSD card up to 2 GB, you can have the same use of a stick, since the device connects the bureau output mini USB to a computer. The GPS instructions are clear. In addition, the map is visible, with their different levels of approximation and little messy - perhaps less than we would like, since, on average, only three names appear sleepers. You can choose the icon that pass over the vehicle: car, truck, walking boots and even an eagle. Useless, but fun. The nüvi is very lightweight lithium battery and has to endure a long time away from power - features both interesting as questionable for a device that is not designed for use outside the car. The GPS may be used horizontally or vertically, and detect its direction and turns the screen. Multimedia capabilities are missing: the Garmin 3760 can only play back image files JPG, digital TV display as competitors and have built-in FM transmitter.Read full review
This Garmin was fantastic. I Bought it to go on our Christmas Vacation to Great Britain. It never let me down. You do have to use common sense with using it. Like most gps units it may not always know you can't turn right or left at some intersections and I did once have to go around the block to get in the right direction. Also it tries to take the shortest route which we found sometimes was not on the main highway route. But everytime we put in an address it brought us right to the front door. Even when I didn't know where I was going throught the simple menu it remembered recently found and also new places with no problem. Great touch screen and maps uploaded fast from Garmin. My England UK maps were $70.00usd. Can't complain as it saved me that much in fuel getting me right to the front door of all of our friends. CasRead full review
Okay, so I've only gotten to use it a couple of times when I really didn't know where I was going, but it definitely did a great job those two times! It lets you know far enough in advance if you're going to need to change lanes, make an exit, etc. Very easy to use - my cell phone sometimes confuses me, but this was a breeze. I use the windshield mount, and it's very easy to read while driving. This is one purchase that I'm very glad I made. Now to just find somewhere to go that I'm unfamiliar with so I can really test it out!
I wanted a reliable gps to guide me through the streets of England and Wales and was not disappointed. I actually wanted the 3790T, it was a bit out of my price range so I opted for this one. I have to say I have been pleasantly surprised. I never got lost once and all the small streets in little villages were nicely highlighted. I loved the POI feature which guided me to all the eating and resting places I wanted to go to. It also directed me to the most beautifully isolated beach!
Like the look - very sleek- but it does not recognize new streets (by new I mean 2 years old) so that is a problem. I download the updates but they must not be great updates. My older garmin was bulky but it new the areas better- the touch sensor tore up on it so I had to get another- this one hesitates slightly so it scares me. Thank goodness I purchased additional warrantry.
