This is a magnificent movie about the original, gangs of New York. The production values are top-notch and the actors are the very best. Daniel Day Lewis puts in one of the finest performances I have ever seen as Bill the Butcher, boss of the Five Points gangs. This movie is excellent in every way and everyone should see it and see it again. I had this on standard DVD but had to own a Blu-ray copy to see it at its best.

Amazing movie. Great acting and storyline. Might be too gory for some people. Lots of street fights with knives, machetes, anything you can think of. If you can take on this type of movie, I highly recommend it.
