If you're serious about fragrances, you can't go wrong with this timeless classic. The opening starts out with a big blast of a verdant melody of notes but the dry down into the ambergris base is where things get even better. Do not be fooled by cheap imitators. There is no substitute for Green Irish Tweed. Cool Water is a fine fragrance in its own right but do not listen to anyone telling you that it is the same thing as G.I.T. because it most certainly is not. They are light years apart. Nothing can take the place of the original.

First of all don't listen to all the bad remarks about how people got a non-authentic bottle of this cologne. It has no impact on the real stuff. Just because someone thought they were getting the real thing for 40 dollars and got a fugazy should have no impact on the authentic cologne. * Warning.... It comes on strong at first but after 30 min or so one spray provides the perfect sent that last about 4 or 5 hours
