It's easy to hear why Grace Slick walked away from The Great Society to join Jefferson Airplane. Just as Big Brother and The Holding Company wasn't worthy of Joplin, the Society was even less worthy of Grace Slick. That being said, anyone who loves Jefferson Airplane should have this CD. It's not as good as Jefferson Airplane, but it's no worse than Jefferson Starship, a band that should never have used Jefferson in their name because they bore little resemblance to the greatness that was the Airplane when Grace Slick and Marty Balin were members. It's worth buying just for it's historical value.
Pionners of the sound of the time. You must have a listen, it will blow your mind.

If you're still stuck in the psychedelic 60s like me and are only interested in the music, and not whether it's on mint vinyl or not, then this CD is excellent valur for money!!! In fact it's mind blowingly good value all round; and 'Grace Slick & The Great Society' is one of the best group names ever. On a par with 'Big Brother & The Holding Company.'
Awesome
