I bought this phone to downgrade from a smartphone, to save some money, and this was perfect. Pros: The phone is easy to figure out operation wise. Purple color is more subtle than the photo. Texting is easy to do and the touch pad on the screen for dialing out has great response to touch. (better than my $400 smart phone! The battery lasts a very long time (also better than my smartphone). I am not an excessive talker, but I do text alot and that seems to have no affect on the battery. This is a phone that is great for simple uses, placing calls, texting, possibly email etc... cons: there sometimes is a lag in response after using the keypad to dial out. This may be because it was purchased refurbished. The lock screen is too easy to unlock. Since it is so easy often if my child, who is only 1 years old, grabs it he is somehow able to place calls, connect to the internet,etc.. although you can turn these features off (which I have done) I would figure it would be harder to unlock it. Such as if you lock it you can slide the phone to unlock or just click the center button. You can put a security lock on it, however, it takes so many different functions to get to that screen its more of a task than just hiding the phone.Read full review
This little phone is quite cute and easy to use once you learn it's system. It is not really a touch phone as it may seem, but does uitilize some buttons in a touch style manner. It has a slide out keypad, as shown, which seems to be much more stable then the hinged flip style of phone. Since my teen has broken two flip stlye phones, I wouldn't buy another. My only negative about this phone is that it is a small phone. It's too small for my hands but not my teens. All of his friends like it, it works well, and can be signed onto the Verizon system without using the internet feature since it is unlocked.
I bought this because it was purple! Turns out, it is a nice little phone. It's very easy to use. I had a blonde moment and couldn't find where to put the memory card in though ;) The camera isn't the best, but if you have some good software on your computer, you can doctor it up. I can go 3 days without charging this phone, as opposed to the "reality" of my last phone - which had to get charged pretty much every 24 hours...although, I do miss the touch screen option - this does let you use touch screen for some things.
The phone overall is good for the price. The keyboard buttons are close together so it's awkward to text sometimes. The screen freezes a lot and I just been using the phone for about a week. The rubber cover for the charger input is real loose like its going to fall off. But for $41.99 its a good phone. I probably wouldn't purchase it again. The phone does not need a Data Plan and it can work for prepay. You will have to call Verizon Customer Service and have them sink it to your account. I tried to do it from the phone and it said I had to change my plan to the 80 dollar plan and then i tried online and it wouldnt do it. So I called Verizon and then it got done. So don't be fooled if your looking for a pre-pay phone. All in all its been a good phone so far.
I needed to replace my broken chocolate touch lg phone and w/o insurance and not being eligible for an upgrade a replacement phone would cost about $200 and that's a basic phone. So I went to eBay and saw this auction, I thought why not. I ended up spending $40 with tax and s/h. I thought the phone was suppose to be new, but when I got it I noticed it was a bit scratched. Not really bad, but noticeable up close. The battery is not the original Motorola battery. The charger is not an actual Motorola charger, it's those you buy at the mall kiosk when you lose your original. I does work and charges the phone. The phone works, it does act weird when you slide the phone to get to the keyboard. It does this weird thing like its on vibrate. It's really annoying and to stop I usually shut down the phone and wait for 5 minutes then turn it back on. It does happen a lot, which is really annoying. To place a call it has a touch keypad that is so sensitive that I accidentally press buttons while on call and to avoid you have to hit the lock key on the side of the phone. To avoid using the keypad frequently I set up speed dial. I still hit the lock button after the call to avoid the beeping noise. I like that the phone has a music player, which is the reason why I got it in the first place. You can use a mini sd card or buy a cable to connect to the computer to sync your music. I use the mini sd card which for a 1gb holds a lot of songs. I lost my iPod so this phone will suffice until I get a replacement. Overall it's an ok phone, for $40. I should mention that this phone came out in 2010, so it is outdated. I have my doubts that this phone was really new like I said the scratches, non original battery, and charger. This phone will just have to do until i'm eligible for my upgrade next year. I haven't had it for long, but I hope it last.Read full review
