Went on my 870 very easily, just be sure to put something like a cloth over your tube cap and tighten it with a pair of channel locks to stiffen up the mount.

Normally, it takes two complete 360 degree turns to secure the end cap. The metal used for this item is quite thick. That reduces the number of complete turns to secure the end cap to one. That might be sufficient - but I'm unsure. On the positive side, it is quite well made. The metal's edges are eased to prevent snagging and the dull, black finish is excellent. Like I said in the title, the metal used is quite robust and I doubt it would bend or snap.
