The board works, and stably so. It supports up to 4 DDR3 1333 sticks at dual channel. The highest memory I've configured on it is 10 GB, but that's just what I had on hand. It's entirely likely that you can use more. It also supported my AMD Athlon ii x4 645 cpu, which runs at 95 W. Another benefit is it is a board from Dell that is entirely standard form factor (Flex-ATX/Micro-ATX), so you can put it in a standard case and use a standard ATX PSU from what I am aware. The packaging was well done to my standards. It came in decently packed box, although without an anti-static sheet. It's perfectly fine to handle it though, as long as you keep yourself grounded (just touch a piece of metal attached to the ground every so often). It also came with a package of thermal paste and the original IO shield. Overall very nice, product came as stated.Read full review

This is a very nice board for the price I paid. But it does have a reputation for Video chip issues as is common with Dell Inspiron desktop boards in the 500 series . They place the CPU and the Video chip within three inches of the hottest part of the board. As for the F1 front panel USB error code there may be a circuit that is dead on the Front panel sound , USB ports motherboard connection . That the BIOS does not recognize that it is fully connected and stops at F1 . The board is not programmed to disable the F1 error message . The bios needs better programming . I have updated it to the latest Bios but it did not provide better Bios programming options to disable error F1 messages. The board has so much potential yet they omitted many circuits. And have not provided solutions to the F1 Front panel missing error code. The front panel sound USB works. ThanksRead full review

I put this board in an HP Pavilion e9140f , whose MB died (same form factor) plus moved my existing 8 gig ddr3 memory and AMD Phenom II X4 925 cpu and and AMD Radeon HD 4650 graphic card over to this board. I also added a 500 watt power supply and Cooler Master Hyper 212 LED cpu fan . The side cover no longer fits because of the larger cooler but still a great HP/Dell hybrid now....

Got the board put in my new case...it gives me a boot-up error "Front Panel not detected". I have to press F1 to continue the boot, or F2 to go into Bios. I have researched this in the forums and most said it was because the Original Dell case has a built-in memory card reader with USB 2.0 ports, and its detecting that I don't have the memory card reader plugged into the motherboard!!!! Really?... This is crazy that I cannot install the board into a nicer case without having issues!! I am NOT happy about this at all and my customer has to wait until I get a resolution before picking the computer up.

If you're using a case that is not the original Dell case you will get bootup errors that say: "Alert! Front Panel not Detected"...The error can be fixed with a jumper on the Front Panel pinout on the board from pin 5 to pin 9...Took quite a while to find this out.. a real pain.
