Was not what I expected. Was hoping to be able to freeze a month of DINNERS where I could pop something in the oven each day. It seems that the idea is to cook only the main dish, such as lemon pepper chicken, and and freeze the meat portion. But then when I thaw it, would still have to cook the veggies such as rice, potatoes, etc. to go with the main dish. Even though retired, I was already doing that, as my TWO freezers can attest to. And since I’m am paid monthly, I buy groceries and cook accordingly. I have made myself read the first 3 chapters but will probably recycle it and give it a new home with someone who cooks in a different style.

Deborah Taylor-Hough does a great job of guiding the novice into the world of cooking ahead and freezing meals. I wanted to add this book to my collection of resources to learn more about this fascinating subject. I love the many yummy recipes and cooking tips. Taylor-Hough even includes shopping lists. If you are interested in learning how to "cook for a day and eat for a month," this is the book for you.
I love this book because it gives you tips from budgeting to meal planning to cooking. I decided to buy it because I am a busy mom who also works full time out of the home. This is a great easy to read and understand book!
We used this cookbook for our women's retreat & I just had to get one for myself & my daughter. It's great for either cooking ahead or for large groups. Very well done.
I bought the book for my wife. She seems to really enjoy the book, and has already started using it. So we are eating better and saving time preparing meals every night. Thank You
