I'd rate this a "Very Good" book for anyone who's new to golf or doesn't want to take lessons to improve his/her game. The writers cover all the bases of the short game and putting, recognizing that everyone's swing is different and differentiating "basic" basics (core motions that should be adhered to) and personal preferences (there's more than one way to skin a cat, even in golf). There isn't much discussion of equipment, but all the techniques apply today as well as they did when the book was written in the early 1990s. I'll review this one every once in a while to remind myself the many useful tips and comments Mr. Floyd passes along here.
Raymond Floyd had long been the Master of the Short game. His "From 60 Yards In" is an essential part of every serious golfer's game - amateur or professional. Equal to the text, Ray completed a Video (VHS) but, to my knowledge, never transferred it to DVD - had this been done, the DVD would have sold off the shelves and AMAZON would have busted their backsides to keep them in stock. Someone should suggest to AMAZON to look into Ray Floyd's VHS - I am certain they are still available.
