As a huge fan of the original 1980's Fright Night films I was sceptical going into Fright Night 2 (2013) but have to say it exceeded my expectations. It's not a continuation of the story from the preceding recent Fright Night film with Colin Farrell, but more a re-imagining of the story. It basically takes the story of Elizabeth Bathory, a woman who'd bathe on the blood of virgins to preserve her youth and mixes it with the Fright Night world/characters. Peter Vincent, Charlie Brewster, "Evil" Ed, and Amy all return in this film, Jerry Dandridge is the head Vamp again, but a female rather than a male. The acting was decent for the most part, many unknown young actors like most typical horror flicks. Not "The Shining" caliber performances by any means but if you're a fan of horror & Fright Night I'd definitely suggest checking it out. I loved the way it was filmed and there's a comic book style sequence in the middle of the film that's pretty cool.Read full review

Unfortunately, I never received said "product". But I'm actually glad it worked out that way. I was looking for the ORIGINAL 'Fright Night' movie. This is a low rated b remake that went straight to DVD.
