Signed by Len Martin & Dan Bonk.Published in 1995, FORBES FIELD: BUILD-IT-YOURSELF is a 9" x 12.7" softcover book with 102 pages featuring 28 photographs from the 1950s, 60's and 70's. They supplement a nostalgic history of the Pittsburgh Pirates' ballpark which opened in 1909 and was in used until 1970. There are 24 plates containing 215 pieces that will enable you to build a full color 7" high x 22" wide x 30" long scale replica of Forbes Field from the ivy-covered red brick wall to the batting cage in center field, and from the Left Field bleachers to the Iron Gate. The Iron Gate was a historic entrance gate located at the intersection of Forbes Avenue and Bouquet Street.
