Like every volume in Rodale's Quilting Library that I have read, this book's treatment of its subject is detailed without being difficult for beginners. Guides to choosing the best tools such as thimbles, markers, batting, hoops and frames move on to techniques including stippling, trapunto and tying for making your quilt attractive while putting it together. If you want help with basting, motif design, grids, stitches or feathers, Flawless Hand Quilting will serve as an excellent reference and a good read.

This book is full of wonderful tips for the hand quilter. Being a fairly new quilter I learned a lot of new methods and shortcuts. The photos are very good and the instructions are clear and concise. I would reccommend this to all new quiters, even if you don't plan on doing hand work. I think even seasoned quilters could learn a few things from this book.
