Many of the recipes contained in this book are ordinary every day any table recipes and for that reason I feel that its not a bad cookbook, but if you have a serious diabetic in your family you need to cut carbs, get rid of starches that become sugars after you eat them (and double your sugar load), you need to reduce your meat portions and focus on total nutrition. My feeling is that these are recipes that are formulated based on old research - i.e. artificial sweeteners which we now know are health destructive and fat free which we now know are in error. We need healthy fats, not canola oil which is a GMO product
