You can punch out a number of circles within a minute, so for that reason I highly recommend it! The squeeze is very smooth. I thought it would need some pressure, but not at all on regular copy paper. Upon receiving the punch, it was a bit greasy with machine oil. I can still see a clear lubricant in between the legs of the punch. However, I don't think it was your regular machine oil, as that would give off a black residue and this does not have any black stains. I hear that in order to sharpen the blade you can punch through tin foil or aluminium, so I gave this a try, but the result felt worse not better. As you can see from my photos, there is some slight fraying which is beginning to happen, even before I punched through the aluminium foil. If it did not fray, I would give this punch 5 stars. It's still new, but so good so far! It's so much easier than die-cutting the same circle over and over on my Sizzix Big Shot! The cost of the item will probably save me money on replacing the plates, but the quality of a die cut is better. However, the dies leave an impression around the cut. You can see this on the photo with the heart on blue cardstock; (last photo). I punched out the circle next to it and it gets pretty close! If you don't want to waste a lot of paper, then the punch wins. Even though punches seem to take up a lot of room in my craft room, I think this one is worth it, as you can see what you are punching. For example, if you have cardstock with circle patterns on it, you can punch out that printed material, but only from the side of the page. You cannot punch through the centre of a page. I was a little scared to try thicker materials, as this is how I dulled my first new Silhouette blade after one use, but I decided to give it a try anyway. I used the paperboard from the Victoria Secret sample perfume. It seemed to punch through it just fine! So that's a winner in my books! You need to give it a bit more pressure to the squeeze, but then it flies right out. Another reason to buy a punch like this was to use it with my scraps, as I find this next to impossible with my electronic Silhouette Cameo, and too time consuming with my manual Sizzix Big Shot. Overall, good but not perfect. It depends how you hold it and I think punching through something thicker is actually better for the punch! Read full review

Very good tool and as listed. Only issue is the 'reach depth' that restricts hole position. This made it unusable for my application.
