I have bought and repaired several projectors. This one is made by HTP for FAVI. The non OEM HTP model is the"LED-106". I find the brightness good in semi dim to dark places. The Led actually runs at about 60watts. At the LED it can put out 15000 lumens, but with any projector The LCD filters and block a good portion of that light and then has to be divided across a much bigger area. In comparison, I still keep a personal 60 inch 4:3 rear projection tv in top shape. In the case of this type of projector to get the same size it has to be near 10 feet away. The fan makes no more noise than an average tower PC power supply, and it is cool running as well. The native resolution is actually 854x540. It isn't 800x600 average as stated elsewhere. That allows easy same height dynamic resolution switch between 4:3 and 16:9. So although it is not 1080i and can't be, it can look like it. Keep in mind 16:9 is not a resolution. It is a frame in which to draw the image in. I you are interested to know more see wikipedia "graphics display resolutions". You may be surprised that most of the HDTV is Hype and not universal. Meaning as long as an image can be drawn inside a aspect ratio perimeter they will call it HD. Even your cell, laptop, and tablet are not pixel for pixel real HD. I do like the controls it has because it allows to set and modify settings without a remote by dual action "source" button also being a select within the menu. Given the resolution is bigger than 640x480 the text is more legible for smaller fonts. Also in comparison this projector is not as bright as a Infocus LP540 and the like, but it doesn't get so warm. I also like the fact that if it doesn't sense any activity or signal on an input it will shut off. It also is not heavy but if you drop it things can break. I will ad more if I feel a need to.Read full review

I'm a avid projector collector and user. This projector was really surprising for led lighting. This is one rare projector that is as bright as it is advertised. They have boxed the led w/a mirror housing and it really does the job.I also have a Casio laser/led lighting combo and the Favi 3t is its junior at half the price.Make sure it's at lest 800 x 600 so you won't be disappointed.I am really impressed.
Does not work, cost more money to ship it back than I payed for it .
