Though a relatively low mintage issue, the 1954-S is one of the most common silver Washingtons in Gem MS65 or better condition. Many original rolls were saved and many very nice coins exist today, including some incredibly toned ultra Gems.

Although not a very old coin, it is still worth obtaining this and other early Washington silver quarters. They will eventually be well worth the investment as the have steadily increased in value over the past ten or so years. And, they are still quit plentiful in all grades but in my humble opinion, it is always best to obtain the ones in Uncirculated to Brilliant Uncirculated condition. There is something to say about the look and feel of silver coinage as opposed to current non-silver quarters.

Yea when it's PCGS cert , hard not to trust authenticity, I've been burned by so called "coin dealers"? On coins that were not certified, and come to find out that they cleaned them! This is a wonderful coin!! Thanks
