I've been cooking from scratch for 30 years and even have owned and operated a catering service and this is a GREAT cookbook. I've been utilizing it for 2 weeks, I feel great and have lost 3 lbs, 10 more to go. Easy recipes, great for a busy person, wonderful alternatives to the average grain filled American diet. Kids will love these foods too!

My food doesn't come out looking like the pictures. I tried the Breakfast Cheesecake and had to throw it out. It was nasty tasting. Made the Asparagus Frittata and tastes great between King Hawaiian dinner rolls, but not so tasty by itself. Made the Pizza Flavored Stuffed Peppers. They were just ok. I'm still trying to make other items and hope to have better luck. Still having trouble figuring out the sweetener combo.

After reading Dr. Davis' Wheatbelly book, I wanted to make sure I wasn't eating "gluten-free" the wrong way. As importantly, I wanted more variety in my homemade meals. This book is just what I needed. Most of the items can be made within 30 minutes. The calorie counts for the portion sizes helps a lot with trying to slim down and lose weight. I realize that my "wheatbelly" will take time (6+ months) to go away but hey...it took 50 years to get this way...a few months to slim down is not too bad!
A friend loaned me the Wheat Belly Cookbook and as I skimmed through it I realized that it was just the cookbook I need. I have blood sugar issues so I'm already on a low carb diet. Recently, though, I have been diagnosed with several food sensitivities including gluten and almonds. I had been baking with almond flour but now I find I can't use it. This cookbook even lists baking items you might be sensitive to (like almond flour) and gives you alternatives. A real God send!

After watching Dr. Davis on television, i immediately bought his book and so far, I love everything I backed and cooked. It tastes better and yes, his comments on wheat, are true. I's garbage. Eat wheat free and you will not be hungry again! It's filling, just add more spices when you make the flat bread, it tends to be a little bland. I haven't made to many meals but the cookies are really good, even the 5 year old grand daughter of one of my friends likes them.
