Lo Tone Briggs - not really!
This muffler is supposed to be "Lo-Tone" but it appears to not muffle sound very much. I replaced a tubular style muffler with this low tone on an 8hp Tecumseh. I can't tell that it is any quieter than before. :-( The muffler appears to be of good quality and looks like it will last longer than I'll put up with it.

Replaced Muffler on B&S motor.
Replaced the muffler on the Briggs & Stratton motor. Did buy a locking ring separate. Seems to work fine. Used penetrating oil on the old one over several days/a week to soak and help loosen. The old one came right out.
