This unit is stainless steel, easy to use and clean. We had no trouble cooking a rotisserie chicken on it. One thing to know is since there is no smoke from the drippings there is no char flavor like from an outdoor bbq rotisserie. We marinated our whole chicken for 48 hours in brine. It turned out very good. The quality of this vintage rotisserie surpasses anything new on the market today.

It makes a great chicken! We tried barbaque beef brisket and it was wonderful. The only concern I had was the electrical plug got pretty warm so I wouldn't dare leave it. If the meat is unbalanced, the motor has a hard time turning it and it makes weird noises. But we made dinner for 24 people and we were told over and over how good the meat tasted and just had enough left overs for lunch the next day.
Our old one stopped working and I was looking for the newer version. This fit the bill perfectly! Works great.

They are great for small birds. You may want a couple of pair.
