I had reason to replace my old , tired kitchen extractor hood so decided that Bosch would be a quality item . It was simple to fit and works like a dream . I have knocked it down 1 start as it does not close down flush with the kitchen cupboards on each side (it remains ajar about 10 degrees) so I have bashed my head a couple of times when leaning forward to the back rings of the cooker top . On the plus side this does mean that I don't have to keep lifting it up just to switch on the light. Which has the easiest bulb replacement fitting I have ever seen .
I ordered the kitchen hood from Bosch because I was pleased with the washing machine, fridge and toaster whichI had purchased before. The kitchen hood was difficult to fit - it would not line up properly. The previous holes (kitchen fitter installed previous hood) were useless - I had to drill new holes.

All Good and easy enough to install, however 3 points:- 1. There's a couple of red plastic clips which act as opening-stoppers for the hood; these are not just delivery packing pieces. They are needed in-use to stop the hood over-opening, but during installation they need early removal (set aside and do not throw away !). 2. The manner in which the fan operates, it sucks through the bottom half of its rotation, but blows back again through the top; wholly In-Efficient and a real disappointment ! I discovered this by holding a piece of tissue-paper at various places to test. I have installed the whole thing now, but at some point when I've got more time, I shall remove the fan and customise some sort of blanking/return duct for the upper half of the fan rotation. 3. The installation instructions were missing from the box, but very easily found and downloaded off the internet. They were however not clear enough about '1' above.Read full review
