This is a remarkable book edited by one of the founders of modern clinical hypnotic theory. It consists of twenty articles by leaders in hypnotic research through approximately 1950. Papers on Automatic Writing by Anita Muhl, M.D. and on Projective Hypnoanalysis by John Watkins, Ph.D., are of particular note from a historical perspective as well as supportive of our present day understanding of the field of hypnosis. As a consulting hypnotist in full time clinical practice in Tucson, AZ, I consider this volume to be a valuable addition to my professional library.
