This recent refresh of the original Evil Dead film series does real justice to the franchise. The lead actor is amazing and the supporting roles are also very well cast. I've watched it a few times now, the last time just a few days ago. I still thoroughly enjoy it.

Usually, in this age of remakes/reboots, films often lose what made the originals so great. Not so with this remote, cabin in the woods horror flick. It's full of gore and characters you don't mind seeing hacked up in deliciously evil ways. With the original story tellers and producers on board, the film was grandfathered for success, while also allowing originality in the updates world. Jane Levy is a great lead and I hope to see more from her.

Great scary remake from the original producers. Characters/actors are really engaging especially lead actress. Updated storyline really works well with the premise of the book of the Undead.

When I went into viewing this film, I wanted to loathe it. Being another remake of one of my favorite classic horror films, and the other remakes such as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre just being mediocre and no where near as good as the original. But this one seems to be a little more intense than the others. I actually enjoyed it even though the story line is changed up a bit. I would definitely recommend it to horror fans.
This movie entails what happens when friends go on a trip to an empty cabin in the woods and try to help a friend get sober and one friend finds a book that was clearly not to be read and he reads it. The movie then turns an innocent retreat into a fight for life, oh and need I forget a demonic force that possesses your friends to kill you.
