I've had three of these and used them A LOT over the years. The best part is they are plenty powerful and have the rotating brush to get lint and hair off a carpet...and they're no more expensive for these features. I'd say they last about as long as any other hand vac. My last one continued to work after the brush quit working, so I gave it away and got another. I've never bought a replacement filter. Just tap and blow on it outdoors is plenty and it will last forever I suppose. Nice product.

This model replaced the prior one I had..average battery life before losing the ability to hold a charge was about a year..replacement batteries were close to the purchase price of a new one..so I opted for the new purchase. I stayed with this model because I had replacement filters. The first thing I noticed was that the motor speed was less then the one it replaced. The first model used a sub c style battery pack with 2 batteries wired off the pack and had 15 cells..18 volts. This new vac also rated at 18 volts uses a smaller battery in a single pack with 14 cells ..16.8 volts actual ...it says 18 volt rated on the pack, but thats not possible. That explains the slower motor speed and possible pick up ability, but the charge could last longer because of better motor efficiency at lower voltage. It works and is relatively inexpensive, but I do not appreciate the misleading advertising.Read full review

This vacuum works great on removing dog hair from our couch and has great suction. The only problem that I do not like is, that the manufacture says that when not in use you have to disconnect it from the charger. Well, when I go to use it, it doesn't run very long before the battery goes dead. BUT, it has great suction when the battery is fully charged

I would recommend this rechargeable hand vac to anyone with pets. I've had both DustBuster and Dirt Devil rechargeable hand vacs before and they had nowhere near the suction this one does, nor did they have a brush attachment for pet hair that worked as good as this one does. This vac also holds a charge for 3-4 times longer than the other brands. I highly recommend buying one for your home.

The unit works very well, picks up debris well, easy to use, only downside, the battery even thought it is a higher voltage, it doesn't have the long cleaning time of my well used, (worn out) 630 version??
