Great book for clinicians, covers many psychotropes that are not licensed for sale in the USA (but are in most of the rest of the world). Unusual because Stahl is a Professor of Psychiatry at University of California San Deigo. Very good information on potential interactions, augmentation strategies, and side effect management strategies. The main competition is the Clinical Handbook of Psychotropic drugs, which is more tables, and less narrative, but covers a much wider range of potential interactions. Unless you are a patient with a profound interest in pharmacology (or a pharmacist), most of it is likely to be well over your head, so of limited use to patients.
