I'm a guitar player who happens to enjoy plunking down on my bass every now and then. I've used several brands of strings on my Ibanez, but some just don't seem to "play" as well, sounding muddy or saggy. I decided to try these particular strings because they are a lighter gauge than what I have previously tried. And the difference is noticeable! I am now getting a great harmonic tone, with great clarity and resonance. So, if you have a slightly "cheaper" bass, and you want a better sound quality, I would certainly recommend these Extra Slinky 40-95's.

For light gauge it’s solid tension more so than roto funkmasters. They lose high end sparkle as soon as they come in contact w/ moisture. Clean w alcohol to evaporate.
