It depends on what sort of sound you require but I find that aluminium bronze strings give a very bright sound, which I like, and they project well. As regards longevity these strings do not show any signs of rust with use as with other types, but I do not think that the good tone lasts quite as long as elixir nanoweb phosphor bronze strings. However they are cheaper. I find that these strings suit my cedar top guitars best. The bright tone seems to counteract the more complex typical cedar sound. I have tried them on my spruce top guitars and whilst they sound very good I think the overall effect is probably too bright. Therefore I will stick with phosphor bronze strings for my spruce top guitars and continue to use aluminium bronze strings on my cedar top guitars.

These strings are good, sound good, feel good on my hand and look good too. The only problem is that they are really poor conducting quality. Sound getting dull after just a week, at this price point I think it should last longer.

I'm by no means a pro guitarist, I have however used many different strings on my Martin. These strings are by far and away the best I've ever put on my guitar. The richness and tone is on another level. There is also longevity as well. I bought these and have just put them on today, the previous same set of strings lasted easily five months and truth be told didn't really need changing that drastically. Can't recommend these highly enough.
