There is one major problem with this printer. The print heads are notorious for clogging up. Very few people know how to clean them effectively. I use it because it has the ability to print on discs. The quality of the printing is excellent. If you can put up with constant head cleaning I recommend it.

The printer appeared in good condition on arrival. When set up with my computer, it worked like new - likely the seller did not know how to "accept" non-original ink cartridges after replacement. Printer operated perfectly for about a week..then stopped completely and could not restart despite many actions. I do not believe this problem was known or a fault seller knew of.

People thought I was crazy when I said I would put my CD into my color printer and make a label for it. It's nice to be able to just put the "printable CD" into the tray and feed it in the front of the printer. It does a nice job as it moves freely out the back of the printer and then when it's done comes out the front. Just be sure to have a little room for your printer so it's not up against the wall or some object. It also works great for color printing and photos. If I have lots of photos to print it's still cheaper to run them through Sam's club, Walmart, or Costco. The ink is one of the more cheaper to purchase. So many of the HP printers love to put several colors in one expensive cartridge. Then you replace them all. At around $10 per cartridge I don't even feel like filling my own. Thanks EPSON, take note HP!Read full review
Love being able to print directly onto DVDs and CDs. Much more professional looking. Love the print resolution, capable on this printer. Didn't like the amount of ink used to do unnecessary head cleaning when powering up. Bought a continuous bulk ink supply system with special cartridge chips, to lower the ink consumption. Also, didn't like the fact that when the built-in waste ink pads get full, it could shutdown the printer. The bulk system I purchased, also took care of this future problem, as it included an external waste ink container that can be emptied when full.
I own two of these and have used three different units in Windows and Mac environments. Use them to do quick indy CDs, generally 50-200 at a time. While I don't think anything in this price range can touch these cheap Epsons, it is fair to warn others that the CD printing is not as fool-proof as many reviewers indicate. Many jams, it's a little temperamental, too. So if you're getting this to print a lot of CDs, keep in mind that it'll probably need some babysitting. Also contrary to other reviews, my experience is that the print quality on paper and discs is excellent for an $80 printer. Good luck.
