Seems like a pretty sweet scanner I am using it to digitize my old 35mm slides and B&W negatives. The native 2400dpi is about right for the grain in the film and the focus seems good. I like that it works with Windows and Ubuntu Linux (had to go find the Linux driver at: http://www.avasys.jp/english - It installed no problem) An occasional color streak - goes away when I tap on the unit. Same thing was true with my Microtek scanner that it is replacing, but the Microtek looked horrible on slides - OK on graphics. Like the control software - expert mode. ABBY fine reader is decent too for OCR
My second v200, and they work awesome. Good resolution, super easy to use and install. My first one didn't stop working till it got beat up by a pig, a real pig, he sleeps on the bed and eats scanners. You cannot go wrong with this model if you are not tech savvy, it's so easy to use!!

Product came in in the exact described condition. Works exactly as expected. I was especially interested in its ability to save a scanned item in PDF format. Excellent scan times. Compared to HP, the software takes a bit more to get used to; and I haven't figured out yet how to make a B/W scan darker. I also read some good online reviews about the product before purchasing.
It's a good scanner but I did have to get a downloaded version of the software to use all the utilities.
