I'm only half way through the class but I've only encountered one solution that did not go with the corresponding problem in the book. It was a solution for a different problem. You see, there are 2 versions of the textbook, "Engineering Mechanics-Static", by R.C. Hibbeler that differ only in a few of the problems. So occasionally, you will run across a solution in this manual that does not go with it's corresponding problem in the book. This doesn't happen often though and otherwise the solutions are straight forward and easy to understand. This manual does not take you through the problem step by step or verbally describe how to solve the problem. This manual shows you the free body diagram, defines the knowns and unknowns, then shows equations needed to arrive at the correct answer. It does not show the math involved in solving the equations. I have hardly needed this manual though because the corresponding textbook "Engineering Mechanics-Statics" is very well written and easy to understand if you read it in-depth and work through the example problems before you try to solve the practice problems at the end of each chapter. There is also a corresponding power point teaching aid that goes with each chapter in this book that provides additional example problems, pictures, and explanations which I have found extremely helpful.Read full review
I got ripped off because I NEVER RECEIVED MY PRODUCT. That's not good business. I tried to correspond with "reason2doubt" but it was never successful. I would NEVER buy anything from him/her again. That's the point of a business deal- both parties get what they want, but that did not happen here, and I wish I got at least some lame excuse from this person but they couldn't even do that. I'm sarcastic when I say you have good character. Keep this route in life, it'll pay off.
the way the questions are broken down makes its easy to comprehend and you have to work through the problems to come up with the final answer. so i would say its a good guide
This book brings good examples for the content. It could use a little more explanation, but still is a great book.
International version of textbok sucks. They don't include the U.S. units problems. So that means me buying this textbook isn't that helpful for me at all. I need to get the U.S. units problems elsewhere at the U.S. version of textbook.
