I bought a couple of these several years ago and loved them. My grandson likes to come into our bedroom and take mine off the night stand and play with it so I bought him one of his own but now I can't find mine. I miss it and may have to purchase another one. These lights hold a charge for months so they are great to have around fully charged for those emergencies that occur from time to time. As I said I will buy another if mine doesn't show up soon.

Product has great reviews. But mine won't hold a charge. Must be in direct sunlight to charge up. Will not charge at all from indirect sunlight or artificial light. So basically you need the sun to keep it charged so you can use it, kind of defeats the purpose. The crank feature is neat and is only the really usable feature - as long as you don't mind constant cranking. Overall it's a just a toy/gimmick and not a practical item for survival/emergency toolkit. I'l give it to my 4 year old son as a toy.

The Energizer Carabiner Crank Flashlight with 3 LED is easy to use, easy to crank and never needs a battery. You will always have light when and wherever you need it: camping, getting to your car in the dark, going to the mailbox at night, during a blackout, getting up and going to the bathroom in the middle of the night, overnighting in any unfamiliar place. My husband and I each have one; we take them camping, on cruises... everywhere! We've given one to each of our kids and grandkids, and to our siblings/ in-laws. The amount of light it puts out is adequate to keep you from dangerous situations, although it would be nice if it were a little higher LED. I highly recommend this product.

I had one in my emergency pack for 3 1/2 years, when I took it out it gave use able light without even one crank! The light is fairly bright, maybe 100 lumins, but it's a soft yellowish light, not a bright white light like the Secur crank flashlight. But I still like it. I like the attached carabiner as well. The solar panel works as expected. Great for an emergency kit or for home, no more dead batteries when you need a light!

The crank handle breaks soon after use begins. I have wired other handles on to use is a little while longer but before a year is out, it just stops working.
