It's the battle of two superpowered lethal-attack helicopters in a fight for bragging rights! It's the apocalyptic showdown between two superpowers as the U. S. pits the AH-64D Apache Longbow against the Russian Mil-28N Havoc B! It's war in the skies over Guantanamo Bay. It's the biggest drug bust in history as the Chinese wage an Opium War and need U. S. help in Thailand. It's a fight for Caspian Sea black gold in the post-Soviet era as Georgian hard liners aim for control of critical world oil resources.
Welcome to Empire Interactive's Apache Havoc: Enemy Engaged, a modern-day air combat attack helicopter simulation featuring not only the above scenarios but unlimited free-form missions as well. Three enormous combat arenas support ever-changing dynamic campaigns that form the heart of the simulation. No scripted events, no preset outcomes -- just mission after mission that build on "sector objectives," Balance of Power victory conditions and management of Tour of Duty time limitations that increase or decrease depending on your successes or failures.
Similarly, dynamic missions can be joined as if in the middle of a campaign. In this mode every single mission in the game is available to you whether based from a carrier, allied airbase or FARP (Forward Aiming and Refueling Point) and rank is not a factor. Multiplayer action (up to eight players) is readily available over the Internet with LAN, serial cable, and modem-to-modem setups supported as well.
A huge array of game play options are provided in nearly all areas including graphics setups, control preferences, sound, speech, and music effects, realism (difficulty levels), and flight dynamics. Equally supported are multiplayer preferences with full reign to adjust parameters. In addition to the aforementioned dynamic missions and campaigns, Apache Havoc contains free flight combat missions that act as a limitless training zone for familiarization with helicopter controls, avionics, and weapons systems plus the opportunity to explore the maps.
Finally, a demo mode allows you to simply watch a dynamic campaign in progress as a learning tool. Special games that allow for multiplayer deathmatch missions are provided along with game play options such as use of time limits, time of day, weather, and kill limits. Nine mission types are offered ranging from reconnaissance to deep strikes. Apache Havoc: Enemy Engaged employs thirty fixed cockpit views and offers a wide assortment of graphic displays and settings.
