This book is FABULOUS! Brought into the 21st century by Ms. Post's Great-Granddaughter-in-law, it is complete with Emily's original etiquette guidelines, as well as new, more current guidelines to help us get through the 21st century in style...and with gracious manners. (Example of Peggy bringing this up-to-date...she discusses computer etiquette, such as that used in emails...something Emily could never have covered in her day.) The book is presented as in an "old school" encyclopedia styling, in a sense that it has the indented tabs; a feature I especially like, as it makes finding a category extremely easy (and it LOOKS cool!). Whether you want this book as a coffee table conversation starter (it's a very large and heavy book, suitable as a coffee table book), or if you're serious about being a proper and mannerly wife/partner/hostess of today, I can't think of anyone who wouldn't want this book as a part of her library! Makes for a unique wedding or house-warming gift! 5 Stars!Read full review
Emily Post's book of Etiquette provides many useful tips on proper etiquette, which are helpful in the business world or other daily situations. Even though it was printed in 1997,the book is very current because it features a section on Internet etiquette. I would recommend this book to every one who would like to improve their social skills in order to become more successful in conducting business, holding social events or interacting with people from foreign countries. I bought this book because I work in marketing where I attend many different events and meet new people from different social classes every day. This book provides me with insights on how to behave in different situations and it also tells me what I should or should not do.
This book has a lot to be desired from society today. Anyone that would pick up this book could learn a valuable lesson on how to conduct themselves in public and social events. Thanks, a lot Emily Post great advice. 👍🏻

I bought Emily Post's Etiquette because I attended a dining etiquette seminar held by Daniel Post Senning, Emily Post's great, great grandson. I was very please with the information he offered and took his recommendation and purchased this amazing book. I love every sentence in this book so far, from the introduction to the last chapter! I strongly encourage everyone to purchase and read this book if you want to have ultimate confidence, and posture in everyday life.
