This is great for anyone who knows the basics of ballet and wants to strengthen their body while working on their technique. I use this DVD in my workout 2-3 times a week and I notice the difference in my body and in my ease of movement. I would recommend!

Really slow and boring!!! Only for those who are truly beginner exercisers or have joint issues. I am used to much faster moving Barre style workouts to supplement my F45, and Bootcamp workouts. When I add muscle, I hate to do it at risk of losing my flexibility, since I am a past dancer. This just didn't do it for me!

I live in a city, and so the gyms are not only consistently crowded, but also very expensive. I wanted a workout in my home that would push me towards a toned, firm body with an instructor who walked me through the steps. This DVD is perfect. I took ballet for about five years, so that gave me a head start with this DVD, but Elise Gulan gives very detailed instructions on how to perform the exercises, and the angles of the DVD show how to perfect each move. The workout is 51 minutes long, and it's tough, but it feels good. Ballet focuses a lot on thigh work, and I can always expect walking up my three flights of stairs to be uncomfortable the next morning. While the DVD seems not to focus much on the core, you should be engaging it with every move for balance. This is a great workout, easy to do within one's home (all you need is a chair!), and Elise Gulan has a pleasant voice and demeanor. It also doesn't require a ton of space, unlike some other major instructors' DVDs, so if you live in a small apartment, this workout is still do-able. I love this DVD, and if she had a Ballet Conditioning II DVD, I would buy it in an instant.Read full review
This DVD is a great work out. I used to take ballet classes twice a week, but with work and school it's hard to find the time! This conditioning DVD was worth every penny. The instructor uses good techniques to really work every muscle. The DVD is continuous so I had to take breaks every now and then when the dancer was still going, but it's nice to pause and move at your own pace. The voice over is not only educational but also encouraging as well. She says things to makes you want to keep going even when it gets hard! It includes rel-eves, tondus, ram da jam, plie, and other core work outs that help strengthen balance and coordination. This is perfect for dancers of any kind (because ballet is really the root of all dance) or anyone who just wants a great conditioning workout. I very much enjoyed this video and look forward to using it daily!Read full review
OMG! This is by far one of the hardest ballet workouts I have the other being; Ballet Body Signature Series Total body Barre workout with Leah Sarago. It, Ballet Conditioning, really is a great workout. She works the hell out of your legs and buns and core. My arms always feel like falling off, letting me know I'm getting an awesome, graceful workout! I love it. If you want to get in shape, buy this workout! After I'm done doing this workout I always follow it with a rest day. I incorporate this workout w/Jennifer Galardi; Ballet Body Exercise and Xtend Barre lean and chiseled with Andrea Rogers. I'm wanting to incorporate Ballet Signature Series w/Leah as soon as one of my arms heals, Leah's got some exercises that my injured arm can't do. But as soon as I'm done healing, Ballet Conditioning and Signature Series will be the meat of my workout with the other two being a little milder.Read full review
