Electro Voice has a clear cut winning microphone here.. clearly outperforms everything at its price point for male vocals in my opinion. Very sensitive, low handling noise, clear low end, proximity effect adds boost without boominess

I'm serious about my home Karaoke, so after going through a couple cheap mikes and one more expensive and well-reviewed Audix, went back and bought another Electro-Voice ND 967. Much more crisp and clear voices come through and the little switch for concert or voice makes a difference. All the other mikes sound muddled, but not the EV. Love it, even if we sound crappy on karaoke.

EV makes some awesome mics. This one just happens to fit my voice better than the others. I have used this model for the last few years - this particular one was purchased as a back-up. If you are looking for a good solid vocal mic - check this one out.

I'm not sure why these mics don't retain their value like Shure SM58's or Audix OM3's but that's a good thing for beer-joint, weekend-warriors like me. These are first rate vocal mics which can be bought, used, for around $$80 and they will outperform used Shure, Sennheiser or Audix mics that sell for 20% to 30% higher prices.
