This is a mic designed for instruments and percussion. But I read a review that lauded its capability for voice. So I am testing and using it as a vocal mic. So far it has been great. It is very light weight, small in size and easy to use on a stand or in my hand. I have only used it in one small venue and at home so far. I have not had any feedback problems. It has a nice rich sound quality. I think it is going to be fine for my voice. I have used a Sure SM58 for 30 years on my vocals. I recently read reviews that convinced me to try some of the newer model mics. This mic apparently accidentally got tested as a vocal mic and the reviewers were very surprised and impressed. So it is one of the three mics I am testing and using now. The mic has a great reputation for its designed purposes and it continues to impress me for its vocal capabilities. I have not heard it with a female or tenor voice so I can't comment on that from my limited experience.Read full review

I absolutely love this microphone and just bought my second one after my first (which I bought used) crapped out on it's four hundredth show (or thereabouts). I perform with it clipped to my tenor saxophone and the usability of it can't be beat. The highs usually have to be turned down and bit and the low end really comes through, due to proximity effect, but I can totally work with that as the pivoting head allows me to adjust the angle of the diaphragm in relation to my horn's bell to pick up different sounds. My only criticism of this microphone is that the wire coming out of the diaphragm and into the stem seems a little cramped in there, and has tensions from being soldered before the capsule is screwed onto the stem. Perhaps if there were a connector that allowed the assembly of the whole microphone, then the connection to be made, this tension could be removed from the system. This is a fantastic microphone.Read full review
This is a great Mic, I have been running live sound for Over 20 years and I always carry them with me, I use them mainly for Mounted and floor toms of all sizes, They are very easy to place with the pivoting head, Ive also used the mics on Snare,Guitars and Vocals, I started usesing the ND308's and the 408's now they are called 468's, This Mic Can handle very high sound pressure levels while sounding natural and clear. Ive bought these mics New and used and never had any problems with them. Just get extra clips. I have found the, On Stage MY-120 microphone clip works great and are half the cost of the EV clips.
Well I would have to say this is one of the best mic's I have used, I play blues harmonica, I was looking at some utube videos and came across this one guy who really praised this mic he also stated he will be getting another one for back up. So after hearing that I looked on ebay and found only one, everybody wanted atleast $200.00 for one of these mic's, I got mine for under $120.00 NEW. As soon as it arrived, I plugged it in to my P.A and blew a few notes WOW you would have to be atleast 8 inches from the mic the closer you get the louder it was, I was amazed. I was able to achieve while cupping the harp the open closed effect wah wah without being right on top of the mic. I also have some amps that I will mic for the louder giggs. I would bet this will work just as I expected clear, clean, true tone.Read full review
