These are a real kick to view. Set in the late 1950's in fuzzy black and white (okay sometimes fuzzy) you see JFK 1 month after wedding Jackie, Dick Clark discussing why poodle skirts and flat tops don't mean teenagers are evil (boy, were WE innocent then!) and talking about whether rock and roll will go on. See Norman Rockwell discuss how he paints his pictures- See RFK when he had only 5 kids and lived in Aaron Burr's house-- touring the homes is as much fun as listening to them speak about their futures (which we now know). Andy Griffith- who knew his wife was the singer and he was the guitar player in their act? I am only about 1/3 through disc one and it has been fascinating. If you are over 40 these will be a real hoot, and if you are over 50 they are downright fascinating. Only the new whippersnappers won't appreciate where we came from and where we are by watching these classics. Very fun. Worth the money. This is an Excellent collection of some of the best, and most interesting, celebrity interviews that the late Edward R. Murrow conducted on live television back in the golden age of early black and white broadcasting. A real treasure for collectors.

This is a great collection for people who are fond of reminiscing about yesteryear. There are many of us, including my mom, who remember these when they first aired and this DVD set provides an opportunity to go back in time for a few minutes or hours. It's also great seeing all the stars so young and the dress so dated.
