Echo has proven itself already in my garage. Under $400 for 60cc and up to 24” bar...easy choice. 20” rips effortlessly and clean in hardest common woods. Coulda paid MUCH more for comparable features on other brands...why? Run rec gas and clean at end of the day...no disappointments now or later.

First time using it after break in time, it was amazing! It actually worked as well as our commercial grade Stihl chainsaw. HOWEVER, after waiting a few days to start it again, it wouldn't start. The spark plug is junk, and there was visible fluid as if flooded where the plug seats. Very disappointed! We will be working on it this weekend to see if it's repairable. We heat with a wood burner, so this isn't a rookie using the saw.

This is a great saw, period. I've owned my CS590 for 3 years and it hasn't let me down once. It'll go through anything you can throw at it, usually with power to spare. You can bury the 20"bar in hardwood without a problem, it goes right though. It has a professional grade magnesium engine case. Homers for other brands like to bad mouth Echo because Echo's don't cost an arm and a leg like their brand, but Echo makes every bit as good if not better saws than anybody without the price tag. I've owned Echos for 15 years and they've never let me down or not performed to my satisfaction. I heat strictly with wood and I cut around 25 cord of wood a year so I need a dependable and powerful saw, all 6 of my Echos fit that bill. Plus the majority of them are made in America.

The title says the best 20" chain saw for the money. Arguably, it could be the best 20" saw period. I know, big statement. But it's really that good. Stihl, Husqvarna Jonsered have absolutely nothing on the Echo CS590. It's powerful, well built and good weight distribution. What more do you need?
