This book is excellent for picking out the healthy alternative to everyday meals both at home and on the road. It has suggestions for everything from regular groceries at the supermarket to Fast food suggestions (dissappointing that all the stuff I like is listed in the NOT category). There is good information for every person, you can just glance at the book without in depth reading and find all sorts of healthier dining changes right from the start. Only wish it actually had some home recipes to assist in the use of the healthier groceries. You'll love it and the information is well worth it.
Whether or not you are watching your weight, or just want to do a better job of "eating healthier" this is the book for you! Unlike its earlier re-incarnations, this isn't a "bossy" book that would deter you from ever eating out, or dooming you to a diet rich in cardboard! It gives real life, easy changes for eating out or in, and allows for all appetites! I was very surprised at how many foods that I wrongly thought to be good choices were in actuality disasters on a bun, or plate. No need to forego flavor and fun for your dining pleasure, just tuck this essential book into your purse or briefcase to keep it handy for your next culinary adventure! You may be very surprised at what delicious food you can enjoy, knowing you are making better choices for your waistline and health. I really enjoyed reading this book. However, a lot of the restaurants are not represented in Oregon, and I would like to see more restaurants that have West Coast locations, especially in Oregon. But over all it's a great and fun read, and I have already put some of their suggestions to work. Thanks for a great book. I especially liked the section about eating certain foods when "your eyelids feel like lead drapes". Very accurate description of the afternoon yawns!
I tried on several occasions to correspond with this seller with no success. I opened a case after I did not get my item, after being told by ebay to give the seller more time. I was advised that I would get a full refund and STILL HAVE NOT AS OF YET. It takes paypal no time to take the monies, why do I have to be inconvienced more than I already have. To top it off, someone else emailed me saying that they have gone through the same thing with this seller and never got their money back. I do not care if it is one penny. I gave it in good faith and I want my money back. Why is this person still allowed to sell on ebay if they do not abide by the rules. Looks like I will have to find somewhere else to spend my monies.........NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD GET BURNED LIKE THIS AND OVER A PAPERBACK BOOK....Read full review
This was great book!!! No dieting. I didn't buy it to diet. I need to eat better! It has many fantastic replacement foods and explains the difference in sugar content. I never worried about sugar before. I would love to see more items in the book. It is easy to "read" because it is all pictures with captions. I recommend this to everyone just to eat a little better.
