EVO Great Game, To Save, Buy a CR2032 Battery

On the issue of saving... I was not aware it did not come with a battery prior to buying. Fortunately I had a pack of CR2032 button cell batteries (I'd planned on replacing some of the failing batteries in my old carts). You also need the special bit to open the cart. Great Game Bad Repro

The game is reproduced exactly as it was which is great, however it has 1 huge flaw that makes it almost worthless. There is a feature to save the game and your Evolution record, it shows that they are saved but once you turn the system off, the save files are lost. I tried this 5 times and each time upon a new start up, the saved files are deleted. You would have to play the entire game through without turning off the system in order to complete it. This makes it impossible to enjoy or play as you normally would.

  • Great Game - No Save Feature

I loved playing this game on my Super Nintendo. Worked great and there were no glitches when playing the game. My only issue is that the save feature does not seem to be working and was not mentioned when buying the product. The cost for this reproduction was very economical and worth it just to get my nostalgia fix! Just beware that there may not be a save function for these reproduced games.

  • Worth Every Penny!! Great Game!!

I test all my games before listing them and then again after they sell. I usually test a game for about a minute...I tested this game for 5 hours! I played past the saved data already on the cart., which was about 3 levels..if that tells you how long this game is 5 hours for 3 levels!! The entire object of the game is to evolve through time. You go around and eat anything and everything. If a creature is more powerful than you to defeat, you evolve your jaws to bite harder; your dorsal fin to fly, be spiked, etc.; you evolve your skin to be thicker; your arms and legs to jump higher, or stomp harder; you can evolve your horn/horns to stab; and even change your body size!! Everytime you kill something it drops a peice of meat, which you eat and gain health back and get evolution points. ...

  • Interesting and unique game.

This game had the potential to be phenomenal, as it explores the possibilities of evolution in a fun and interesting way. Starting out as a fish, the player is able to evolve into unique and different animals throughout many time periods and face all of the creatures of the past along the way. Unfortunately the game mechanics are a bit lacking. Whenever your character is hurt by an enemy you are momentarily stunned and if they are passing by thy might hurt you as much as 3 times before they move on. It isn't a deal-breaker, but it can be annoying. Also the boss-battles are at a difficulty level that forces you to do quite a bit of grinding throughout the game in order to ensure you have stocked up a good bit of EVO points in order to evolve several times each battle replenishing your ...
