Haven't had it long enough to give a comprehensive review, but right out of the box it does an very good job overall, sharp prints, color accuracy is very good (yellows seem a little weak, not a rich chrome yellow), speed is slow (but for me that is not a big problem), results printing to standard glossy paper are much better than my R1900 (hated the gloss optimizer). I was very disappointed at the volume of ink that it uses in getting itself charged up at first use (appears to be around 20%). The maintenance tank shows at 56% usable, when finished. Considering the absurd cost of the inks this needs to be corrected.
This is the most amazing printer ever! It's so easy to work and the prints are so sharp and vibrant. I downsized from a large 24" wide format .printer and am so glad I did. I have always used Epson printers but this one out ranks them all. Thank you Epson for a great printer!
The printer did work! Had to put Sensor back in popped out of its socket! Other than that it work fine
Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Pre-owned
I upgraded from my Epson R2400 to the Epson pro 3880. The 3880 is amazing, perfect print quality and ease of use and set up.
Not good for printing on canvas. It says it would print on canvas, nope. I have better luck with HP as it does not choose what canvas or fabric I use. This one was very difficult. It probably work well with photo papers but the claim on canvas printing is simply not true.
