First got it didn't like, but every guitar and amp I bought I didn't like at one time. Now it is a pleasure to play. Currently have 5 different tube amps and this one is not my "go to" yet but as I tweak with it I find where I can emulate the other amps I have to a degree. I generally do not use peddles so having something that is this versatile is a plus. The only thing I would (will) change on it is the reverb pots. They are overly sensitive, maybe put a smaller value in don't know yet. Buy one, can't go wrong. whether it is blues, jazz or hard driving rock (British) it will fill the bill.

Well, I like the amp, I wouldn't go so far as to say I love it. I had bought it used and it was suppose to be in mint condition. Although, channel 1 reverb doesn't work properly, in fact I can't use it at all because when you attack the guitar strings (hence pushing the front end of the amp) the reverb has this strange broken up sound that sounds horrible. That was certainly a disappointment, but so far, the reverb works fine for channel 2. Outside of that everything else is working fine thus far. I like the global master volume and the boost volume, as well as density and presence knobs in the post section. The main reason for getting this amp was the head room. The two channels is a plus and the independent tubemix for each channel is pretty cool. Although, it wasn't really necessary for what I had in mind. I had bought an Egnater Tweaker a while back, and it's a great little single channel head that allows me to create an excellent base tone from which I can build my sound. So, what I was looking for was a clean amp with more wattage. Although, I found myself settling on the purchase of the 65. I don't believe I would buy this again if other choices were available within my price range. Don't get me wrong, the amp has really good tone. Although, It would be nice if Egnater made the tweaker in a 50+ watt version, that would be more fitting to my needs. Overall, I'm content with this amp -- as long as no more problems occur any time soon.Read full review
I have a smaller Egnater head and love the tone, but needed reverb and a 2nd channel. I like the flexibility of the Renegade 65 head, plenty of power if needed and that great tone. I just sold a Mesa Mark V head, and though the Egnater is not an equal, it is a good replacement at 1/5th the price. A week after receipt and a few jam sessions, the unit quit working and is in the shop needing a new power supply. Probably just bad luck, but I can't wait to get it back.
I have a lot of great amplifiers including a vintage Fender Twin Reverb, but I have to say this one is my favorite when it is working properly

I love mine! The independent reverb for both channels, the master volume that operates both channels, the foot pedal is very unique. Currently looking and will buy another one as a backup!
