Our 10 yr old daughter was using an Easton Slow Pitch bat and was hitting balls with it but complained about feeling the sting when she hit the balls. After weeks of reading reviews and getting feedback from our daughter, we decided on the Mako Fastpitch. It was between the Louisville LXT and this one. I liked the 2 pc design to reduce the 'sting' and wanted to stick with the same brand since my daughter wasn't crazy about changing bats since she was already hitting with the old bat. We took out to hit balls today and she was surprised how the ball jumped off the bat and only felt the sting once. Our daughter is in 10u going up to 12u in the fall and a very tall 10yr old, 5'2" so this lighter bat (4 oz lighter than the old one) was a better fit and she hit way more balls than with her old, heavier bat (21 versus 25oz). Very happy with our purchase.Read full review

This Is a very nicely balance bat, We bought it my kid hit 30 practice balls His 31st hit was over a 275' fence, Small sweet spot but once you get used to it (Since he has pop 3 more over)the hits mount up. It's a lot of money but this is one bat where it might be worth it if your kid is a hitter!
